Protests spread across Pakistan after Imran Khan was shot during a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally demanding fresh elections.
He was shot in the leg on Thursday. He was shot below the knee of his right leg. After that, he was admitted to Shaukat Khanam Hospital in Lahore. Scanning and x-ray of his leg revealed bullet shrapnel inside. But his condition is stable now. A senior assistant told it was an assassination attempt on Imran Khan. Someone wants to kill him.
PTI supporters took to the streets and started protesting, creating a terrible traffic jam across the city of Karachi. Massive protests also broke out in Quetta city. The protesters blocked the airport road. They are also taking place outside the army commander’s house in Peshawar.
