So far, nine bodies have been recovered from an earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale in Nepal. Some were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. It is feared that the death toll may increase over time.
The earthquake hit on Wednesday. The epicenter of the earthquake was 158 km north-east of Pilibhit town of Uttar Pradesh in neighboring India and at a depth of 10 km. Tremors were also felt in the New Delhi and surrounding areas. The magnitude of the earthquake was 6.3.
The first 6.3-magnitude earthquake was felt at around 8 pm on Tuesday. The center of which was Doti district. Dozens of houses collapsed there.
The second tremor was felt at 2:12 am. Which was stronger than the previous one. Its magnitude was 6.6 which has shown on the Richter scale. Meteorologists said that in the last few days, Nepal has experienced several small earthquakes. But their damage was not so severe.
