Six policemen have been killed by firing in Pakistan. Among the dead policemen, one is an officer and the other five are constables. They lost their lives in the firing of armed terrorists while patrolling the streets.
This incident happened yesterday in Pakistan’s Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province. According to a police spokesperson, the attack took place in Chowki Abbasi area of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province and the victims were in a police van engaged in routine patrol there.
One of the policemen killed is ASI Alam Deen. Besides, five other constables are: Parvez, Dil Jan, Mahmood, Nawaz and Ubaidullah Ahmed. More police have been deployed in the area after the incident.
Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the police van and paid tribute to the victims. He said the police have played a proud role as vanguards against terrorism. He further said that the nation salutes the children who sacrificed their lives for the motherland. Terrorists are enemies of Pakistan, entire Pakistan will be a strong wall against terrorism. Shehbaz also said that the provincial government should honor the dead and provide facilities as martyrs.
