The death toll has risen to 310 after a powerful earthquake hit the city of Cianjur on the Indonesian island of West Java. More than 1 thousand people were injured. Even after 4 days after the earthquake, the rescue work is not over yet. Rescue team members are still searching for 24 missing persons.

Meanwhile, rescue team members miraculously rescued a six-year-old child alive from under the rubble two days after the terrible earthquake. The child, Azka, was rescued from under a destroyed house in Kuzenang, the worst-hit district of Cianjur, on Wednesday evening.

Last Monday, an earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale hit Chianjur, the western city of Java, the main island of Indonesia. Many buildings, including thousands of houses, were destroyed by the earthquake. Among the destroyed buildings are hospitals and residential madrasas.

It is reported that 22,000 houses were damaged due to the earthquake in the country and 58,000 people were taken to safe places.
